Twin Screw Working Principle
Bornemann Twin-Screw Pumps are self-priming, double ended positive displacement pumps with external timing gears and bearings. Manufactured in over 80 sizes, their design provides complete axial balancing of the rotating elements and eliminates all metal-to-metal contact within the pump.

Bornemann twin screw pump types
HC / HCi
Due to unique design of separately manufactured shafts and screws, many different material combinations are available, thus allowing for optimum combinations for specific applications. Up to 6000 m3/h, 16 bar, 120°C.
SLW
The SLW is working with both, external and internal bearings. It is specifically designed to serve the growing demands of hermetically sealed pumps as well as less rotating shaft seals compared to conventional Twin Screw Pumps.
SLI
The pumped fluid flows through the screws in an axial direction. Therefore, the pump imparts very low shear and little pulsation to viscous and shear-sensitive products. For this reason, SLI pumps are well suited for fluids with high or low viscosity, with lubricating or non-lubricating properties, and fluids containing some solid.
W/V
Self-priming rotary displacement pumps in a compact range with external bearings without touching medium. For aggressive media also.
Multiphase pumps
MPC, MSL, and MW types are specially designed for two-phase (liquid+gas) media in crude oil production applications. Extremely high flows (up to 8000 m3/h) are achievable, while dry running is also allowable for up to 30 minutes.
